April 2 Class Review

New Words

- 명동 (Myeong-Dong): One of the popular regions in Seoul, Korea - main shopping and tourism district. According to Wikipedia, Myeong Dong was a residential area but changed to commercial district after Korean War. Please visit Miliore (shopping mall) if you are interested in going shopping. And don't forget to watch Myeong Dong festival, held twice a year- music, dance performances, fashion shows and etc.

- 응원 (Eung-Won): This Eung-Won, cheering is very important activity for Koreans. Koreans have strong countryman-ship to cheer for soccer games with cheer songs, clothes, and accessories. Korean cheering teams are named to be "Red Devils" (붉은 악마- Bul-Geun-Ahk-Mah) and wear all red color clothing. Koreans yell "Dae-Han-Min-Kuk" with one of the various beats,"Tum-Tum, Tum-Tum-Tum"  at the stadium.
